Hall Booking Online Knowledge Base

Accepting Online Payments with Stripe or PayPal

Linking Hall Booking Online with PayPal or Stripe allows your venue to accept online payments.

Overview of Online Payments

  1. Hirer makes a provisional booking request.
  2. Administrator views the request and clicks to send a PDF invoice to the hirer.
  3. Hirer clicks the link in the invoice / invoice email and makes a secure payment to the venue's PayPal / Stripe account.
  4. Hirer receives an email receipt. PayPal / Stripe sends a notification that a payment has been received. Hall Booking Online also sends a notification that an invoice has been paid.
  5. The invoice is automatically marked as paid on the venue's bookings list. The PayPal / Stripe transaction number is also logged.
  6. The administrator approves the booking.

You can approve bookings without sending out an invoice. You can also invoice customers (perhaps regular hirers) after the event.

You can send a single invoice for multiple bookings. Just use the tick boxes on the upcoming bookings (or search results) to select which bookings you'd like to cover on a single invoice.

Hall Booking Online doesn't charge extra for invoicing or connecting your account to Stripe or PayPal.
