Accepting Payments with Stripe

We can link your Stripe account to Hall Booking Online. Your hirers can click a link on your invoices and be taken to a payment page on your Stripe account.

Payment flow for Stripe-enabled accounts:

  1. Hirer receives an invoice from you
  2. Hirer follows link on invoice to your Stripe page
  3. Hirer pays by card / Apple Pay / Google Pay etc.
  4. Stripe sends hirer a receipt
  5. Stripe tells Hall Booking Online that the invoice has been paid
  6. Hall Booking Online marks the invoice as paid and sends the admin/Treasurer an email notification
  7. Treasurer withdraws funds from Stripe account to venue bank account (this can set to automatic)

The advantages of Stripe:

  1. Ease of payment: no one has to set up a BACS with account number, sort code, account name
  2. Instant Notification: you know that a payment has been made immediately
  3. Payments automatically matched to corresponding invoice
  4. No need to check bank statements
  5. Administrators don't need to ask the Treasurer if a payment has been received
  6. Simple refunds back to the original payment method
  7. Card details are securely processed by Stripe: they are not passed on to the venue or Hall Booking Online
  8. You can continue using other payment methods in conjunction with Stripe

Your Stripe account is separate to us. Hall Booking Online does not receive any commission on Stripe payments or charge a ‘platform fee’.
