About Walmsley Parish Community Hall 

 

Our Walmsley Parish Community Hall is at the heart of Egerton village and is available to hire for lots of different types of events - including weddings, christenings and all other types of parties! We also have regular clubs, plus coffee mornings, wonderful shows and much more on throughout the year so please click through to the calendar to find out more, join in or make an enquiry.

 

There are 2 main spaces available:

1. MAIN HALL: 

A brilliant large room at 61ft (19m) x 37ft  (11m) - 209sqm with high ceilings, perfect for larger events or where you need room to move about. 

Included in the room hire is use of 130 hard plastic chairs, 12 large tables (72" x 30") and 19 small tables (36" x 27") and there are upholstered chairs, tiering and lighting available for an additional cost.

Attendee capacity...

  • Rows of seating for stage performance = 285
  • Tiered seating for stage performance = 156
  • Table seating for stage performance = 175 (135 if allowing a dance area)
  • Dinner seating with dance area e.g. weddings = 100
  • Fork buffet = 135
  • Finger buffet = 180

 

GUIDELINE PRICING: £20 per hour (minimum booking of 3 hours)

Additional spaces that can be booked alongside the hall:

STAGE - For performances, shows and ceremonies (POA)

BACKSTAGE - 2 large prep rooms accessible from the stage (POA)

KITCHEN - Fully equipped catering kitchen (£25 per session)

 

2. CLASSROOMS 1 & 2:

Cosier spaces, perfect for up to 30 people or smaller groups who need space to move around. Both rooms are 7.5m x 8m (62sqm)

Classroom 1: Carpeted and used for a playgroup during the day

Classroom 2: Wooden floor with a piano (albeit slightly out of tune!)

GUIDELINE PRICING: £7 per hour (minimum booking of 3 hours)

 

OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION:

Parking: There’s plenty of onsite parking behind the Hall, with disabled parking located at the front. Please let us know any accessibility requirements in your booking enquiry.

Food and Drink: You are welcome to use outside catering. For alcoholic drinks, there is a licensed bar available on request, or if you wish to bring / sell your own alcohol, we can arrange a licence and this will be subject to a 'corkage' fee.
