About Walkhampton Memorial Hall

Our hall provides a centre for local community life. The weekly Saturday Market and Coffee Shop is hugely popular; a Post Office Services van visits each week to provide most of the Post Office’s standard facilities; local clubs and societies have regular bookings.

Hire the hall for 80-150 guests

Walkhampton Memorial Hall is available for hire to those living in Walkhampton and Dousland and visitors who live outside the villages for social functions, meetings, charity events and private parties. 

The Walkhampton Memorial Hall has been extensively upgraded in recent years and with space for up to 80-150 people depending on the event. The hall offers:

• Disabled access and toilet facilities
• Free wi-fi
• Use of a large modern fully equipped kitchen (at an additional cost to cover supplies and utilities) which includes
  • ovens
  • hob
  • fridge
  • microwave
  • crockery and cutlery
  • extensive work surfaces
  • ample hot water
  • an adjacent servery counter
  • Washing up liquid, drying clothes, bin liners
• Toilet paper and paper towels provided
• Heating included
• 17 large tables and a few smaller ones, 120 chairs
• Adjoining car park with free parking for approximately 35 cars. 

Five-acre field for hire

Outside, the five-acre field and children’s play area are available for recreation and enjoyment, and available to hire with or without the Hall for outdoor events, with plenty of parking. 

Hire our field for:

•  Sporting events, rounders, cricket, football or training session 
• Summer village events 
• Private events such as birthday parties, BBQ’s, weddings

There is plenty of space for a marquee, bell tents, and a generator for larger events.

Please note that allotment holders will still need access if a field is booked for more than 1 day during the Spring and Summer months.
