About Stalham Poppy Centre

The venue is located on Stalham Recreation Ground, Stalham NR12 9BH and close to the town centre and has parking for approximately 50 cars.

What does the building offer?

• 800 m² of usable activity floor space over two floors
• Under floor heating system allowing for a steady climate control of the building
• Ventilation and heat recovery system
• Video entry system for each activity area for the protection and security of users

GROUND FLOOR

MAIN HALL - There is a large hall which can comfortably seat 150 people and can be used for a variety of sporting, recreational, drama, conference, and training types of events.  It includes a stage area, with curtains, which has a separate back access.

KITCHEN – there is a good sized kitchen which can be used by users of the main hall for their event or booked separately for small cookery classes.  It includes a good size oven, microwave, fridge, large sink area, commercial dishwasher, washing machine and hatch to the main hall.  It has a window hatch to the outside to service events which may be happening on the playing fields.  (Please note if the playing fields are required permission needs to be sought from Stalham Town Council).

SPORTS CHANGING & SHOWER FACILITIES – there is a self contained area which comprises of two sets of changing rooms which can be used by either male/female or home/away teams, male/female toilets, referee/adult/manager room including shower, and a disabled toilet – accessed directly from the front of the building.  This area can also be accessed by adjoining doors in the male and female toilets should the space be required by users of the main building.

TOILETS – female toilets comprising of 3 cubicles with 2 hand basins and a warm hand dryer, the male toilets comprise of 2 cubicles and separate urinals, with 2 hand basins and a warm hand dryer.  There is also a disabled toilet/baby changing, shower and toilet facility with a warm hand dryer.  All the female and baby toilet areas are serviced with the necessary bins.

FIRST FLOOR

DISABLED TOILET/SHOWER ROOM/BABY CHANGING – this is a facility for users of the first floor.

ACTIVITY ROOM 1/STALHAM COMMUNITY GYM – an activity space, primarily now being used by Stalham Community Gym is serviced by its own tea/coffee-making facility.

ACTIVITY ROOM 2 – this is a smaller space which can be used for small groups of approximately 12 people, it has the benefit of windows overlooking the playing fields and is serviced by its own tea/coffee-making facility.

ACTIVITY ROOM 3 – a much smaller space suitable for 1:1 or up to 4 people for meetings.
