About New Galloway Town Hall

Local Initiatives in New Galloway (LING) currently own New Galloway Town Hall, a versatile space in the heart of our Royal Burgh. We also look after New Galloway's Community Garden next to the play park. You can hire any of our spaces (the Garden, Lower Hall, Upper Hall or the entire building) for your events or classes. We are in an enviable position of being just 14 miles north of Castle Douglas just off the A713. Dumfries is just 26 miles away, Ayr 33 miles and Stranraer 46 miles.

The Main Hall capacity is as follows: 

Close seating - 153 

Dancing with seating - 130 

Dinner dance - 85 

The Lower Hall capacity is as follows:  

Closed seating - 60 

Dancing with seating - 40 

Dinner dance - 30
