To make a booking at Mileham Village Hall:
At a minimum, read the document Terms and Conditions of Hire
You may also need to read other policy documents if approriate :-
Children and Vulnerable Adults Protection and Safeguarding Policy
Equality and Diversity Policy
Health and Safety Policy
Lone Worker Policy
You will need to comply with all of these documents as conditions of the hire. You will also need to comply with any restrictions put in place by local or national government.
The hire starts from the time that you enter the hall until the time that you leave the hall, so please ensure that you have booked enough time to set up at the beginning and clearing up after your event.
Our public liability insurance covers hirers for most eventualities - please check the Hirers’ Public Liability Summary of Cover and Hirers’ Public Liability Extension documents to make sure that your event is properly covered. If not, you will need to arrange any additional cover required at your own expense. In order to be eligible for cover under our policy, you will need to ensure that you abide by all restrictions/requirements contained within these documents.
Details of our premises licence can be obtained from Breckland Council - we would suggest that you click here and use their ‘online general enquiry form’ email link provided. Regrettably, their on-line premises register appears not to be working at the moment. If our licence does not cover your event then, following our acceptance of the booking, you will need to arrange and pay for any necessary licence variations (e.g. Temporary Event Notice). We will not permit any events to take place that are not properly licensed.
Go to the calendar page and check availability. You can then click on New Booking and fill in the form. The provisional booking will then be referred to the Administrator for approval. N.B. Until you have received approval for the booking, it would be unwise to set up any arrangements that cannot be easily undone, e.g. booking speakers, children's entertainers etc.
Note: If you have any queries, or wish us to set up the booking on your behalf, please don't hesitate to contact the Administrator at Nancy.Krois@phonecoop.coop or by phone on 0300 0200 650
