GGVA provides a place for local residents, with facilities including an all-year Tennis Club, a Bowling Club, four small allotments, and the Garden Village Hall, which opened in June 2012. The hall supports local sports clubs and the Women’s Institute (W.I.) and is used for exercise, recreation, and meetings, including activities such as Keep Fit, Tai Chi, and Yoga. It is also available for hire for children’s parties and private events.
Inside The Hall
The Village Hall includes a large main hall (capacity 50), a small meeting room (capacity 10), and a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances and utensils. There are three toilets, including one with disabled access and baby-changing facilities, plus Wi-Fi throughout. Furniture includes large tables and chairs, as well as child-sized tables and chairs stored outdoors.
Grounds and Garden
Outside, the hall has a large enclosed garden with grass, a patio, picnic benches, and new children’s play equipment. An outdoor shed contains children’s furniture and toys, which may be used and must be returned clean.
Our Clubs and Users
A thriving community of Tennis players, Bowls group and a Women's Institute also make use of our Hall and have their own facilities as such.
