About Gilberdyke War Memorial Hall

The War Memorial Hall in Gilberdyke was opened in January 1924, and today is a bustling centre of activity for the village.

It provides facilities for a wide range of community interests, including sports, education, general interest, physical fitness, and social groups.

The Hall has a wide range of facilities so that it can easily support events and functions like parties, user groups, wedding receptions, and concerts/dances.

 

Main Hall - This is the primary area of the Hall, with a polished hardwood floor. There is also a side area which is carpeted, complete with tables and chairs.

Maximum capacity - 100 seated or 200 standing.

 

Conference Room - Adjacent to the main hall, this is ideal for smaller events, meetings, elections, blood drives. Includes wi-fi and 55 inch wall mounted monitor.

Maximum capacity - 30 seated.

 

Bar - A fully licensed bar offering competitive prices, including bottled and canned beer, spirits, wine and soft drinks.

 

Kitchen - A  large, fully appointed kitchen, with double ovens and microwave.

 

Stage - Ideal for live bands and concerts, looks on to the main hall.

 

Playing field - used for football training and our own outside events like Bonfire Night and Summer Gala. At all other times it's open to the general public. No dogs please.

 

Ample Free parking - of course!
