Privacy Policy for Dennington Village Hall


Dennington Jubilee Village Hall, situated at Framlingham Road, Dennington IP13 8DD, is a community village hall which is managed by a board of Trustees and registered as a charity, no. 275024.  Any queries about our privacy policy should be directed to Jo Denton, Hall Trustee and Chair of the management committee, at Spring Farm House, The Street, Denninton IP13 8JF, tel 07979 600442.  The charity complies with GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What information do we collect?

We collect two types of data and information from users.

The first type of information is un-identified and non-identifiable information which may be gathered via your use of the Site (“Non-personal Information”). We are not aware of the identity of a user from which the Non-personal Information was collected. Non-personal Information which is being collected may include your aggregated usage information and technical information transmitted by your device, including certain software and hardware information (e.g. the type of browser and operating system your device uses, language preference, access time, etc.) in order to enhance the functionality of our Site. We may also collect information on your activity on the Site (e.g. pages viewed, online browsing, clicks, actions, etc.).

The second type of information (“Personal Information”) which is information that identifies an individual or may with reasonable effort identify an individual. Such information includes:

  • Device Information: We collect Personal Information from your device. Such information includes geolocation data, IP address, unique identifiers (e.g. MAC address and UUID) and other information which relates to your activity through the Site.
  • Registration information: When you register to our Site you will be asked to provide us certain details such as: full name; e-mail or physical address, and other information.

Joining our mailing list 

If you sign up to join our mailing list, we will send you emails on a regular basis about forthcoming events, general information about Dennington Village Hall and its activities and the quarterly Dennington News. You can sign up for our mailing list here

Making a provisional booking via our events calendar

When you make a provisional booking via our online events calendar we will store your data only for the purposes of answering your query and managing your booking.   This data will include your name, email address, telephone number and message content. 

If you set up an account with us so that the website recognises you for future bookings, we will store the personal information you provide in your user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their own personal information at any time. The bookings administrator can also see and edit that information.

Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to this Site is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy.

The rights you have over your data

You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us, and you can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Retention of data

If you set up a user account with us the details are retained for five years after your last interaction with our website, unless you request otherwise. 

Embedded content from other websites 

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.), and will therefore be subject to the privacy policy of that third party website.  Our interactive booking form is run by a third party, Hallbookingonline, and their privacy policy is available to view here.

Updates or amendments to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to periodically amend or revise the Privacy Policy; material changes will be effective immediately upon the display of the revised Privacy policy. The last revision will be reflected in the "Last modified" section. Your continued use of the Platform, following the notification of such amendments on our website, constitutes your acknowledgment and consent of such amendments to the Privacy Policy and your agreement to be bound by the terms of such amendments.
