Crackington Institute Village Hall is situated in the centre of Crackington Haven. It has a large hall, a blue room (meeting room), kitchen, toilets, an outside green space and a large car park.
Sessions:
We divide our day into three hire periods:
Morning 8am – 1pm
Afternoon 1pm – 6pm
Evening 6pm – 11pm
(There can be some flexibility in these session times as agreed with the Booking Secretary.)
Capacity:
Our main hall is restricted to 140 seated or 190 unseated.
The Blue (Meeting) Room will fit 60 comfortably seated or 80 unseated.
Licences:
If you are selling alcohol you will need to apply to use our Alcohol License at least a month in advance. This applies if you are undertaking any of the following criteria:
• You are charging for alcoholic drinks at any event.
• If the event is charged for and you are providing a free drink. (This is seen as selling as the cost is included in the event price, unless you give confirmation that the value of the alcohol is not included in the entrance fee or ticket price).
If you want to apply for a TENs instead, you will need to provide us with a copy and display one at the event. In either case you will need to comply with our Alcohol Policy.
You are responsible for obtaining and complying with other additional license/s for activities not covered by our Premises Licence, or the basic PRS/PPL licence we hold for the performance and playing of music. You should note that we DO NOT have a TV licence. You may only use the premises for “licensable activities” between the hours of 10.00 and 24.00 hours or as otherwise specified in the Premises Licence, e.g. alcohol sales has different hours, unless authorised by Cornwall County Council and/or by us.
