About West Bretton Village Hall

West Bretton Village Hall is based in the heart of the village. The hall and grounds are managed by volunteers via the Bretton Institute Management Committee (Charity Reg. 523524). 

The village hall comprises a main hall with a stage (which is only accessible with prior approval), a committee room and a kitchen. 

There is also a bar available which opens on Friday evenings which everyone is welcome to.  We usually have a fish and chip van on a Friday evening too, so come and join us for Fish and Chips and a drink to wash them down.

Various groups use the hall on a regular basis (see below for details) and the venue is available for private hire. 

The hall has a substantial car park which is a great benefit of those wanting to hire the hall for large events.  The car park plays an important role in the local primary school's ‘park & stride’ scheme which allows parents to park in the car park and walk their children to and from the village school. 

The hall has a Club Premises Certificate under the Licensing Act 2003 which authorises the Institute to sell or supply alcohol and provide regulated entertainment.

The hall is licensed  for:

• 175 in the main hall
• 25 in the committee room

We will happily arrange viewings of the hall.

The kitchen is included with hire of the hall. There is a 4 ring cooker, oven, fridge, kettle, water boiler. We have 75 place settings available, along with 50 children's party sets and additional serving bowls, platters and cake stands to assist with all catering needs.

Village Hall Bar - Friday evenings 5.30pm-9pm (subject to staff availability) Open to everyone

Art Classes - Courses in Painting and Drawing at the Village Hall on Tuesdays. For further details visit www.njpittaway.co.uk 

Legs, Bums and Tums classes - Monday 6pm to 6:45pm - Just £5 - turn up with your mat and a drink 

Dance Classes - Crigglestone School of Dance are holding dance classes in West Bretton village hall on Mondays from 4pm-5.30pm,Wednesdays 4pm-7.45pm; Thursdays 4pm-7pm; and Saturdays 8.45am-5.15pm.

Parish Council  - Meets 2nd Monday each month (except August) in Village Hall at 7.30pm. Contact - Parish Clerk Sue Earnshaw. 

West Bretton Over 50s Club - Meets in the Village Hall on the first Wednesday of each month 2pm-4pm.
