Alcohol - Please ensure that you notify us if you plan to serve alcohol at your event. Smoking or vaping is not permitted in or around any part of the building. During the hire period, the Hirer is responsible for supervising the premises and ensuring the care, safety, and protection of the building and its contents from damage or alteration. The Hirer must ensure the safety of all persons using the premises and be familiar with fire safety equipment and escape routes. In the event of an emergency evacuation from the Orchard Room, the fire escape door must be attended to ensure the passageway remains clear for those exiting via the History Society escape door.

You must include setting up and clearing up when submitting start and finish times.

Alcohol - Please ensure that you notify us if you plan to serve alcohol at your event.
It may be necessary to apply for a TENs (Temporary Event Notice) licence, and we will advise you if this is required.
The sale of alcohol is not permitted unless it has been approved by the committee.
Access - We have new smart locks.Doors will automatically unlock 5 minutes before your booking time and will lock automatically at the end of your booking.
Once all guests have arrived, please lift the handle from the inside to lock the door.
You can exit the building at any time, but no one can enter unless you let them in.
Fire Steward - The named Fire Steward must be familiar with the location of fire equipment and the fire escape routes. In the event of an emergency evacuation from the Orchard Room, the Fire Steward must attend the fire escape door to ensure the passageway remains clear for those exiting via the History Society escape door and to comply with the conditions of hire.
Fire steward must remain on premises for the full duration of booking.
