St. Briavels Assembly Rooms is a highly desirable venue. The very open, light and airy flexible spaces consist of a main Assembly Hall with stage and seating for approximately 100 people concert style, or around 80 people seated at tables. The hall offers a Stage, HD projector, 4.5M Screen with Surround Sound & Hearing Loop. Adjoining the hall is a café / bar which opens onto a lovely courtyard terrace.
The main hall can be merged with the adjoining café-bar area, via a bi-folding glass wall. There is also a new fully equipped office / meeting room, with French doors onto the courtyard terrace at the rear. The toilets comprise of ladies, gents and disabled , with wet room / walk in shower and a baby changing station.
Amenities include free high speed wi-fi , access to computers, free local telephone calls and a fully equipped ready-to-go office complete with computer, printer, scanner, fax, telephone etc, to hire by the hour at very competitive rates.
Many regular activities are held in the Assembly Rooms, such as weekly community Tea room plus a visiting seamstress and hairdresser; outreach adult education programmes; yoga; Pilates; Zumba; street dance and classical dance classes for children; art groups and workshops; art & craft exhibitions; quiz nights; dances; show; concerts; council meetings; club and society meetings; private parties.
