Stannington Village Hall is a vibrant community hub and a charming space and is available for hire whatever the occasion.
The Main Hall is 13.4m x 6.7m and seats up to 120 guests depending on the layout required, with an additional 5m x 5m stage, for bands, entertainers, or productions of any type, and has a Bluetooth enabled sound system. The adjoining Jubilee (9.15m x 4m) and Heritage (8m x 4m) rooms each seat up to 50, depending on the layout required. The Heritage room also has an adjoining fully equipped catering kitchen, whilst the Jubilee room has a small kitchen suitable for refreshments. The rooms can be hired and accessed individually though we do require any events with live or loud music to book the whole hall. The hall has an alcohol licence with an option to either hire in a bar or bring your own drinks. The adjoining grass paddock area can be used for outdoor events by special request.
There is adequate free off street parking, a disabled entrance with automatic door, level internal floors, WiFi and an accessible toilet with baby changing facilities.
The hall was formally opened on 24th October 1959 and is located in the heart of Stannington Village, which is situated 10 miles North of Newcastle upon Tyne in the beautiful, unspoiled and historic county of Northumberland with easy access from the A1, just next to the Ridley Arms.
The Hall is held in Trust for the community and its daily business is run by a Management Committee, made up of volunteers and Hall users. It is a non-profit registered charity and is funded through hall charges, fundraising events and grants.
We welcome regular local groups such as Art Groups, WI , Craft Groups and Yoga, musical events drawing big crowds, private parties, community events, celebrations, weddings and classes of all kinds. Whatever your needs, we'll do our best to help.
