About The Community Transport Scheme

This exciting project is one of the first of its kind in the County of Gloucestershire and allows local community groups to use the Council’s 9-seater electric vehicle for activities in and around the Parish of Tidenham.

The project has been possible thanks to funding through the Forest of Dean District Council, provided under S106 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, through contributions from developers towards the costs of providing community and social infrastructure, in this case to help improve air quality in the Parish.

Any community group in Tidenham Parish interested in using the vehicle can register a designated driver.

Once a driver has been successfully registered, the vehicle can be booked online.

There is no charge for using the vehicle. Donations towards the running costs can be made by members of your group using the vehicle if they are willing and able to do so.
