TO MAKE A BOOKING:
- Check the availability of our Hall, meeting room or playing field. You can make a provisional booking on the Calendar Page. The Hall is available for bookings between the hours of 7am and 12 midnight.
- Our Bookings Secretary will review the booking request and you will be sent an invoice by our Treasurer.
- Hire Charges are detailed on the Documentation Page. Our Hall receives significant financial support from within the Parish, hence charges are lower for residents of Nayland with Wissington. Non-resident rates apply to bookings from adjacent Parishes: Bures St Mary, Assington, Leavenheath, Stoke-by-Nayland, Wormingford, Little Horkesley, Great Horkesley and Boxted.

Please observe the following points as it will help you and our unpaid volunteers who run the Hall.
- Our Village Hall and Recreation Ground is run by a charity for the benefit of inhabitants of the Parish of Nayland with Wissington and surrounding area.
- The key should be collected no earlier than 15 minutes before the hiring time from Ms. Amy Christie, 5 Meadow Cottages, Wiston Road Nayland CO6 4FR, phone 07368 803850. The key must be returned within 15 minutes of the expiry time of the booking.
- Access is allowed from the time the Hall is booked and not before; when booking allow time for setting up. The Hall must be vacated on time; allow time for cleaning up after your activity. It must be left clean with all waste placed in the dustbins outside.
- Our Hall has a sound limiting system fitted, the limit has been set at 92 Decibels to comply with environmental health requirements. Use of external speakers must be agreed in advance and is not permitted after 2300.
- Ensure that payment is made by the weekend before your event. We trust our hirers to respect the facilities and do not require deposits. A range of online payment options is available: please no cheques or cash.
- Selling alcohol requires a licence signed off by the VHMC. Please ensure our Bookings Secretary receives the paperwork well in advance. The form is available on the Documentation Page.

If you would like your event advertised, please let the Bookings Secretary know.
Children's Parties
Bookings for a children's party must be for a minimum of three hours. This will allow you enough time to clean up following the party.
The finish time of the party must be at least one hour before another event in the Hall. This time is needed by our Caretakers to confirm that the Hall is ready for the next hirer.
Advertising Banners
If you wish to advertise your event in the Village Hall by displaying a banner along the A134 at either Caley Green or at the end of Horkesley Road then PRIOR PERMISSION must be obtained from the Nayland with Wissington Parish Council and a risk assessment completed.
