A social gathering organised by members of the “Hornby Railway Collectors Association” (HRCA) for, in particular, members of the HRCA and others interested in the railway products manufactured by Meccano Limited of Binns Road, Liverpool between 1920 and 1964.

Trains will be in operation typically after 4:30PM, as setting up is completed.

Visitors are always welcome.

St John's Hall has been at the heart of the community for over a hundred years.

Originally built as a church hall in 1908, St John's Hall is now run by a small group of local trustees as a charitable service for the community, providing a space for people and organisations to use at a reasonable rate.

Set in the centre of Mortimer Village with its own parking and within easy reach of all the local shops and amenities, St John's Hall is a great venue for community, corporate and private events, including parties, yoga and dance clubs, exhibitions, concerts, dinners and more. We love that it gets lots of ambient light from tall windows on three sides, and has a beautiful high wood-beamed ceiling.

The main hall provides an adaptable and multi-purpose space and is comfortably able to host events both large and small. It has a kitchen equipped to cope with most catering requirements, tables and padded chairs if needed, and a purpose-built stage area with lighting and dressing rooms.
