Carperby Village Institute: Online Booking

About Carperby Village Institute

Carperby Village Institute was built in 1926 and extended in 1935. The land was gifted to the village and the building was planned and paid for by the local community.  Also known as the Village Hall, its purpose remains, as it was then, for the benefit of the local community.  Today it is managed entirely by volunteers who act as Trustees, a Management Committee and a dedicated group of caretakers who maintain and manage the day to day running of the hall.

The hall is used regularly for many events including concerts, events, family occasions, coffee mornings, Penhill Ladies, art and flower groups and badminton.  There is a large hall with staging available, a fully fitted kitchen and a snooker room with a corner for small groups to meet. There is disabled access and toilet facilities.

The hall is licenced for a maximum of 120 people.
