Bury Village Hall - West Sussex

For many years, Bury Village Hall has been hosting events such as coffee mornings, the Horticultural Society’s flower shows and plant sales, quiz nights, films nights, Harvest Festival Suppers, Royal Wedding celebrations, the Christmas lunch and productions by The Bury Players.

The spacious main hall, the well-equipped kitchen and the bar make Bury Village Hall an ideal venue for conferences, group meetings, social functions, family celebrations and children’s parties – it can accommodate a sizeable inflatable bouncy castle!

The hall is also regularly hired by many groups and societies – yoga, pilates and art are some of the classes held there and the hall has become very popular with the short mat bowls group, a ballet school and the ballroom dance group (for whom the hall’s maple sprung floor is a significant attraction). Adjacent to the hall is Bury Green (the village green) which incorporates a children’s play area with playground equipment and picnic tables.

In 2019/20 a programme of refurbishment was undertaken resulting in major improvements and upgrades to the electrical and lighting circuits, the fire alarm system and the heating and plumbing installation.
