Set in the heart of the coastal village of Broad Haven, the hall offers a truly unique setting for events of all kinds. Just a stone’s throw from the beautiful Slash Pond nature reserve and moments from the beach, it’s an ideal venue where visitors can combine an exhibition or craft fayre with a refreshing trip to the seaside. For those attending training sessions, meetings, or seminars, the hall’s location provides the perfect opportunity to step outside for a revitalising walk and a breath of fresh coastal air, making every visit both productive and enjoyable.
The building that now serves as Broad Haven & District Village Hall originally functioned as the village school before being transferred to the community in 1965. This happened when the land that had been earmarked for a new village hall was instead used by the local education authority to build the new school. Since then, the hall has been held in trust under its original covenant, preserving its purpose as a space for meetings, lectures, classes, recreation, and leisure activities for the people of Broad Haven and the surrounding area.

Today, the hall is run as a registered charity by a dedicated management committee made up of representatives from the groups that use it, along with appointed trustees—and everyone involved is a volunteer. It continues to honour its founding commitment to serve all inhabitants without distinction, providing a welcoming and inclusive venue that enhances the life of the community. A wide range of groups use the hall regularly, including yoga classes, the book club, the WI, the table tennis club, and Jazzercise. The hall is also a popular choice for children’s and family parties, as well as fundraising events such as bingo nights and choir concerts, and it frequently hosts exhibitions, craft fayres, and other community gatherings throughout the year.
We'd love to help make your event a success. For information about availability, rates, and booking, please visit our calendar and how to book pages.
