About Acklington Village Hall

Acklington Village Hall is a historic village hall dating back to the 1920s, with lots of character and atmosphere, coupled with great facilities for all sorts of activities. It regularly hosts exercise and dance classes, a local art group, the WI, carpet bowls club, coffee mornings, film nights, concerts, fairs, meetings, concerts, private parties, weddings and more. There is a large lawned garden running alongside the hall which offers a lovely and flexible outdoor space.

There are 2 bookable rooms - the Main Hall and the Guyzance room. Each can have use of the compact well-equipped kitchen without having to go into the other room.  They can be booked individually or together for larger events. 

The Main Hall is 14.5m x 7.4m and benefits from a stage area at one end. It has access to a disabled toilet and separate ladies and men's toilets (3 of each). There are plenty of tables and chairs for the hall's users. It has a main entrance at the front of the hall, an exit out to the garden and a further fire exit. The kitchen is accessed from the far end of the hall through a short corridor, which leads on to the Guyzance Room which is at the back of the Village Hall building. The recently constructed Guyzance Room is 7.2m x 5.6 m and offers a more intimate space for smaller gatherings. It can be accessed from a side door leading off the garden and has its own disabled toilet, tables and chairs and kitchen corner. It can thus be hired and used completely independently of the Main Hall. The full kitchen facilities are a few metres away along the corridor linking the Main Hall and the Guyzance Room. 

The maximum capacity of the Main Hall is 150 and the Guyzance Room, 60 (depending on the nature of the activity).

There is free WiFi (with good speeds) for use of hirers.
