Abbotskerswell Village Hall : Guide to Booking Your Event

To make a booking at Abbotskerswell Village Hall:

Read the Terms and Conditions of Hire and check the Hall Hire Charges which are included on the About Our Hall page.
Go to the calendar page. Check availability. Click on New Booking and fill in the form.

Please observe the following points as it will help you, our caretaker and the unpaid volunteers who run the Hall.

Please ensure you have booked enough time to set up at the beginning and clear up after your event. We build in a “buffer” time to allow our caretaker to check rooms and replenish stock ready for the next booking, but this is not included in your hire time. Please make sure that you have allowed enough time to set up and clear up and hand the keys back. You may collect the keys 15 minutes prior to your booking and they should be returned immediately after your hire period ready for the next hirer or event. The hire period includes returning equipment to its storage place, cleaning kitchen areas and sweeping floors, emptying bins and taking rubbish away with you.
Please make sure you have paid your hire fee to confirm your booking. You will be sent an invoice which includes payment details and instructions. Payment by BACS is preferred, if you would like to pay via cheque please contact the Bookings Secretary via abbotskerswellvillagehall@gmail.com
Alcoholic drinks can only be sold if hirer has obtained a licence from Teignbridge District Council. It is the hirer's responsibility to do this and provide a copy to the Bookings Secretary.
Please read through the Terms and Conditions of Hire which contain all necessary information including where and how to collect / return keys, find equipment, switch on heating etc.
