By car

On the B4009 between Goring and Streatley, take the turning signposted  Don Giovanni at The Leatherne Bottel. Follow the lane, over the railway bridge and as your approach the bridleway, take a sharp right. Follow the bridleway for about 1/4 mile. The car park is on your right as your approach the reserve and the entrance to the reserve is through the gate at the end of the car park.

By train

Goring and Streatley Station is about 1 1/2 miles from Withymead Nature Reserve and you can get to the reserve by walking or bus. 

By bus

The Going Forward Buses bus 134 collects from outside the station and drops-off  at the Perch and Pike public house in South Stoke. The reserve is about 1/4 from the Perch and Pike (see On Foot below). NB: During the Coronavirus out break Going Forward buses have been suspended.

On foot

From South Stoke: -Walking towards Goring on The Street, South Stoke, continue from the the road onto the footpath/bridle way. Follow the path for about 1/4 mile and the reserve is on your right.

From Goring and Streatley Station: Turn left out of the main entrance. Take the 1st left onto the High Street and go over the railway bridge. take the 2nd right onto Cleeve Road. Follow Cleeve Road for about 1/4 mile, until the road turns sharp right. You will see two tracks ahead of you. Take the right hand track (signposted Footpath/Bridle way) and follow the track for about 1 mile. Passing a number of houses on your right, with the river on you left keep walking, past Withymead House. and the entrance to Withymead Nature Reserve is a further 100mts on your left.
