About Stair Community Centre

Stair Community Centre is owned and managed by Stair Community Association, Scottish Charity number SC023898 and provides recreational facilities for use by community groups and the general public. 

The Centre is conveniently located for Ayr, Cumnock, Kilmarnock and the surrounding villages and is available for private bookings for birthday parties, family gatherings, and meetings, as well as community group events and activities.

There are five rooms available for hire:

The Young Farmers Room offers a carpeted space for meetings or group activities.

The Church Room can be used for meetings, group activities, as a small auditorium space and is equipped with a wall mounted screen for presentations and film shows.

The room capacity can be increased by opening the partition into the Drill Hall for larger events and family parties.

The Drill Hall can be carpeted for yoga and meetings or a wooden floor for ceilidhs, dances or sports activities.

A removable partition connects the Drill Hall to the Church Room

The Rural Room offers a carpeted space for committee meetings, group activities and talks. And comfy seating for more relaxed, social gatherings.

A door connects into the Drill Hall.

The Kitchen provides an accessible space for social gatherings and craft activities. There are facilities to make refreshments and to heat food. The kitchen is not a food preparation facility. 

Internet connection

There is Wi-Fi available throughout the building and AV equipment can be used in any room.

Accessibility

There are designated parking bays are beside the Main Entrance which is wheelchair accessible, and an internal lift ensures all rooms within the building are accessible.
