About South Mimms Village Hall

The village hall has two rooms available for hire - a large traditional hall dating back to 1891 with stage and

 a smaller more modern meeting / function room. There is a selection of furniture that can be used in either room. 

In the main hall can seat a maximum of 80 people. The smaller room is recomended for groups of up to 30 depending on the furniture selected.

We have a full kitchen with serving hatch to the main lobby. Both rooms have access to the kitchen but are seperated by doors.

Because the hall is located in a residential road, all loud music must be off / turned right down by 9.30pm and the hall must be fully cleaned, cleared at vacated by 11pm.  For this reason we don't permit 18th / 21st/ 50ths birthdays etc.

Children's parties are recomended for primary school age or younger. We welcome Christenings and Funerals, as well as events like quiz nights and other community and activity groups.  

The hall has a number of regular hall bookings by exercise and baby groups, dog training and our monthy Book Swap.  

One-off private hires are for a minimum of 4 hours (including set up and clean up) for £100, plus £30p/h for additional time.  We take a £50 deposit for cleaning and breakages, which is returned once the hall has been checked by one of our volunteers.
