The Parish Hall is over 100 years old, and is located near the centre of the village on Links Lane, opposite the entrance to the recreation ground. The Parish comprises the village of Rowlands Castle, the hamlets of Finchdean, Old and New Idsworth, and the surrounding countryside. The hall continues to be the venue of choice for many different community groups, some of which have been based at the hall for over 40 years!
The building has a large hall with a good sized, raised stage and dressing-rooms behind, a smaller hall, upstairs meeting room and two equipped kitchens, the main one with an electric range oven and hob. A large grassed area can be found at the rear with additional side access. The halls and meeting room can be hired individually or wholly and hires can include the kitchen or kitchenette, and garden, depending on your requirements and their availability. We have both music and premises licenses, the latter covers the selling of and consumption of alcohol.
The hall is the venue for many local community groups, as well as exhibitions, fairs, talent show, nativity plays and a lunch club run by the Royal voluntary Service. Weekdays, during term times, our small hall is is home for to a preschool nursery and on voting days, the main hall is used as the local Polling Station.
We welcome bookings for private events such as weddings, parties, christenings and other life events as well as meetings, consultations, and public events.
