About Longridge Showfield

Longridge Showfield, located on Lower Lane in Longridge, Lancashire (PR3 3SQ), is a versatile outdoor venue that hosts a variety of community events throughout the year. Managed by the Goosnargh and Longridge Agricultural Society, it serves as the backdrop for the renowned  Longridge Show, a celebration of farming, food, and rural life. This annual event features livestock competitions, including cattle, sheep, and heavy horses, as well as displays of vintage machinery, horticulture, and handicrafts. The show also boasts a large light horse section and one of the largest dog shows in the area. With many sections undercover, the show offers a grand day out come rain or shine .

Beyond the agricultural show, Longridge Showfield hosts a range of other events. For instance, the Ribble Valley Food and Craft Festival, Wheels up North, the British Archery on Horseback Competition and numerous caravan rallies.

Situated in the scenic Ribble Valley, the showfield is easily accessible from Preston and offers a picturesque setting for these community gatherings. Its central location in Longridge makes it a hub for local events that celebrate the area's rich agricultural heritage and community spirit.

The site features a large main showfield that includes a sizable building equipped with kitchen facilities and a small toilet block offering men's, women's, and accessible restrooms. Please refer to the photos for the layout.

In addition, there is a smaller field that can be used for overflow parking, as well as a larger field with a track running through it. Both of these additional fields connect directly to the main showfield.

We offer the hire of our facilities throughout the year in a variety of combinations to suit your needs. Please note that availability may be weather dependent for certain activities, and field space is not available for hire during the month of June.
