The Village Hall was built in 1927 on a site gifted through the generosity of the late Lord Elibank in 1923.
Almost 100 years on it continues to be a focal point for the community and well-used for a wide variety of functions and activities.
There are several groups who use the hall regularly including A Bite and a Blether, yoga, badminton, playgroup and others who use it as needed – e.g. as HQ for various bicycle races, polling station, the annual Flower Show, Christmas Fair, Children’s Halloween Party and private events.
The hall comprises the main hall space with a raised stage area, fully accessible toilets and a kitchen area with serving hatch. A separate room at the back of the hall is also available. Chairs and tables can be provided as required.
The current standard hall hire rate is £17 per hour with the first hour free (if booking made for 2 or more hours) for Eddleson residents.
The hall is managed on behalf of the community through a deed of trust, with an elected Committee operating under charitable status (SC035039).
