Dorrington Village Hall is situated just six miles south of Shrewsbury, off the A49, in the village of Dorrington.
It was constructed in 2008, following energetic fundraising on the part of the local community, to provide a centre for the village, a place to meet and a venue for sports and entertainment.
There is a car park in the front of the building and behind the Hall there is a full-sized football pitch, a multi use games area (MUGA) and a play area for young children.
It is fully accessible for wheelchair users and has both a disabled toilet and baby changing facilities.
The main hall has a seating capacity of 120 at round tables with space for a dance area or 150 at trestle tables with space for a dance area.
The meeting room has a seating capacity of 36 for meetings with space for a speaker or 20 trestle tables if space is needed for refreshments etc.
There is a bar area, a kitchen and changing rooms.
Its scope for use is endless. Private parties, meetings, charitable and fundraising events, child-based activities and birthday parties, sports, keep-fit and dance classes, lectures, quiz nights, weddings, christenings and corporate events.
