About Claverton Down Community Hall, Bath

Claverton Down Community Hall is located on the eastern outskirts of the City of Bath adjacent to open countryside, the Green Belt and the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It lies within the Parish of St Mary's, Claverton, has served the local community since 1958 and is registered with The Charity Commission (No.304478).

The Hall hosts a wide variety of activities throughout the week and at weekends - click on 'Community Events' and 'Regular Activities' above for latest details; it is also available for private bookings at competitive rates. Please give the Booking Secretary as much notice as possible. There is plenty of parking space and frequent bus services (to/from the University of Bath) stop outside.

The main body of the Hall measures 14.7 metres by 7.75 metres.  The is also a raised stage area.  A boules/petanque facility is available within the grounds. The main entrance area incorporates a ramp, a large entrance space, a toilet for the disabled and baby-changing facilities.

The Committee comprises local residents (who are also trustees of the Charity) and meets quarterly, with an Annual General Meeting held in March/April. Please contact the Chairman or Secretary if you are interested in joining the Committee as we always welcome prospective new members.
