The Victoria Hall was built in 1867 for the Plymouth Brethren.
It was passed to the town in 1905, and since then has had a wide array of uses.
It has hosted hundreds of ceilidhs, fundraising events, wedding dances, markets, memorials, and classes.
The hall holds a prominent position on the High Street, its stern exterior belying it’s bright and warm interior. It is thought that the tiles and bricks for the building were provided by George Maw, who was a member of the congregation, and whose encaustic tile business had moved to Broseley to take advantage of the local clay before moving to Jackfield.
The Victoria Hall has a large, bright Main Hall with a sprung floor – perfect for dancing. It can be set up with staging and/or tables and chairs, or just with a large space. We also offer a comfortable, licensed, lounge bar and a small kitchen.
All can be hired separately or as a package.
The Committee are enthusiastic locals and are completely community-led and all volunteers. Our Trustees come from a variety of backgrounds and have a wide-ranging skill set.
